United comfortably took Wigan aside with a first minute goal from Rooney. A simple tap in was enough to secure the English Champs the second spot on the league table. Now 2 points behind Liverpool, a win against Bolton this weekend may put United top spot.
However, Rooney's goal came with an expense as he is out for at least 3 weeks after a hamstring injury sustained during the Wigan match. That will be dear indeed. It looks like Tevez will have more run outs this coming few weeks. Regadless, there will be Welbeck to cover Rooney's absence.
